SPAR UK is launching an even bigger range of gift cards across its stores, thanks to a new partnership with international pre-paid technology leader InComm.
SPAR is the only symbol group in the UK offering a gift cards programme, and its offering has just got even better.
InComm and SPAR have now signed a new agreement to relaunch their range of gift cards in stores in time for Christmas, in a move that will see a host of SPAR stores across the UK receive new display units.
The range of gift cards is also being extended, to include the popular Amazon gift cards amongst other new additions from a range of leading high street and entertainment brands.
In addition to the gift cards, SPAR stores are also launching cheap international calling card Foo-Call, which offers consumers a simply and cheap way to call abroad with no on-peak and off-peak times.
The full range of cards available to SPAR retailers now includes Amazon, Argos, BHS, B&Q, Cineworld, Claire’s, Comet, Debenhams, Homebase, iTunes, New Look, Pizza Hut, Spa, Ticketmaster, Virgin and WH Smith.
Barry Wallis, Retail Development Controller at SPAR said: “Gift cards are great impulse sellers not just at Christmas, but right the way through the year. We are very pleased that our relationship with InComm has been extended, so our retailers can offer their customers an even more extensive range of gift cards.”
Daniel Sugrue, InComm Europe Ltd National Accounts Manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to extend our business relationship with SPAR.
“With much of the gift card purchase that we see being impulse driven it’s imperative that we maintain and grow a strong presence within the convenience sector. We look forward to mutually growing the gift card category together with SPAR and its retail members,” he said.
