SPAR has unveiled an exciting new range of own brand snacks and cakes, building on the success of last year’s hugely successful launches in the category.
This winter, a limited edition four pack of toffee muffins is available, followed by a citrus orange and lemon variety in Spring 2012. The muffins are priced at £1 per pack and join successful existing varieties, Blueberry and Double Chocolate Chip.
Three new grab bags, Mini Flapjack Bites, Mini Chocolate Brownie Bites and Mini Shortbread Bites will land on SPAR retailers’ shelves this month, also with a pricemark of £1 each for eight pieces, building on the popular consumer trend for sharing products.
SPAR is also launching an own label four pack of chocolate topped cupcakes, retailing at £1 per pack and available now.
Susan Darbyshire, SPAR Brand Director, said: “In their first year, SPAR Brand muffins brought in £750,000 in sales – that’s a total of three million muffins sold, showing the popularity of indulgent treats.
“These new additions will be sure to attract shoppers with a sweet tooth, and are perfect for impulse selling at the till next to lunchtime snacks. The competitive £1 pricemark across the range is also sure to attract shoppers looking for value as well as quality products,” said Darbyshire.
