Here's how to turn them into something special

Peaches

  1. Make a quick pudding by arranging some drained peach slices in a sponge flan base, then make some peach or raspberry jelly, pour over the top and put in the fridge until set. Serve with cream or ice cream.

  2. For a gorgeous breakfast, put some natural yoghurt in a bowl with some peach slices and a scattering of crunchy granola.

  3. Make a quick but delicious version of peach melba by heating some raspberries – frozen are fine – with a little sugar until it is dissolved. Then take a meringue nest, put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, then add some peaches and finish with some raspberry sauce.

  4. Blend some peach slices with some natural or peach-flavoured yoghurt, and some milk for a nutritious smoothie. For a more indulgent version, use vanilla ice cream instead of the yoghurt.

  5. Why not use them to make some delicious muffins? Use our recipe for Cranberry and Seed Muffins, but substitute the cranberries with drained peaches.

  6. You can use peaches in savoury dishes, too – make a sauce with a little sugar, tinned peaches, orange juice, vinegar and garlic and simmer it for 10 minutes, then serve with fried or grilled chicken fillets.
