These berries truly put the 'super' into superfood

Goji berries have been hailed as a superfood, and are believed to be rich in several nutrients. These berries are not as sweet as other dried fruits, but even a teaspoon of them a day can be beneficial. You can eat them like any other dried fruit – mix them up with nuts and eat them as a snack, or sprinkle them on your morning cereal or porridge.
Originally from the Himalayas, they have long been prized in China where they are believed to have anti-ageing properties.
Their antioxidant levels are said to far outshine those of other “superfood” fruits and vegetables.
Goji berries contain more beta carotene than carrots – beta carotene is said to help protect us from free-radical damage and boost our immune systems.
They have 500 times more vitamin C than oranges and, most surprisingly, more iron than steak.
They contain 19 amino acids and up to 12 trace minerals.
The dried version is a good source of B vitamins.
