As part of this year's SPAR Sprints Programme you can now vote to help pick the winner of the Outstanding Athlete 2011- winning £1000 from SPAR. The 10 junior athletes who are also on the UKA futures programme have been competing all summer and the UKA panel have now picked the 3 finalists below for you to choose the winner from- they need your help now to win!

Highlights from this year's programme included financial support, kit and media training as well as a trip for all the stars to the European Indoor Championships in Paris, where the athletes found out firsthand what it's like to be at a major championship and received expert mentoring from top British athletes and coaches, this has meant many of the 10 have gone on to far exceed expectations of them this year and have a strong future in the sport.

The SPAR sprints programme has been running for the past 4 years to help identify and develop talented young athletes to ensure they reach their full potential, beneficiaries have already included Martyn Rooney and Jodie Williams.

The UKA panel consisting of Kevin Tyler (UKA Strategic Head of Coaching & Development), Lisa Matthews (Commercial Manager) and Jo Jennings (UKA Futures Manager) have decided the top 3 shortlisted SPAR Stars David, Andrew and Danny based on their 2011 performance.

The 3 picked finalists have had a fantastic summer season and therefore it was unanimous by all three judges.

So it's up to you to vote for the most deserved athlete who will be crowned the Outstanding athlete winning £1000 from SPAR.
