Using the certificates
Click on the link to the left to download the certificate you want to use.
Edit the text fields as required by highlighting the sentence in the appropriate text box and typing in your required text. (If you do not require any of the text simply delete it from the template.)
If you prefer to hand-write the winner’s names, add your logo and school name, delete the other text fields and then print off 'blank' copies to be filled in by hand.
If you want to add your school logo, simply click in the designated logo area box where it says ‘Insert logo here’, select and delete that text and then add your logo using the ‘Insert Picture’ function in Word. Re-size the logo as required to fit the size of the box. (Logos should be in RGB jpeg format.)
Save your new Word document to an appropriate folder – you can also save it as a new Word Template for future use if you wish.
Take note
* For easier text-editing, Word makes the background graphic look paler, however, the certificates will print out in full, vibrant colour.
When printing, check the page set-up is set to landscape A4 and set to print at actual size (100%). A 20mm border is incorporated into each design, meaning it will print correctly on inkjet and laser printers at 100% size so there is no need to select ‘scale’ or ‘fit to page’.
If you wish to print in black and white, choose greyscale/black and white in your print options before printing.
Please note that Microsoft Word, PCs and printers may have different settings so these instructions may not apply. Please check your own settings and always run a test print before printing a high volume of certificates.
