SPAR £100k Community Cashback returns
The SPAR Community Cashback is back for the third year in a row.
Due to the amazing success of last year’s £100,000 Community Cashback scheme, SPAR is launching its third £100,000 Community Cashback scheme, giving away various grants to local voluntary or community organisations and charities.

Launching on the 11th April, shoppers from all over the UK can apply for a grant for an organisation or charity they feel deserves funding. All applicants need to do is share the exceptional contribution that a local organisation has made to their community and what the grant would be put towards. Applications will close on the 22nd May 2024 Successful candidates will be contacted by the 14th June 2024
Running until 22nd May, there are grants available covering all geographical regions across the UK.
Amounts up to £10,000 are available, with a total pool of grants valued at £100,000.
SPAR is looking forward to catching up with last year’s grant winners and seeing how their grants have positively affected their communities.

Dover added: “Our grant scheme is aimed at supporting and giving back to the communities that we serve. Last year grants were awarded to over 20 local organisations across the UK, with some receiving £10,000.
“We've seen first-hand how much last year's grant winners have benefited from this scheme and know that together, we are making a real difference in communities.”

As part of this they have created a special needs nursery which caters specially for early years aged children with diagnosed and emerging special educational needs.

Stoke & Staffodshire Downs Syndrome Social GroupStoke & Staffordshire Downs Syndrome Social Group was set up in 2016 by parents and husband and wife Julia and Michael Boardman. The aim of the group was to offer children like their son Max a safe, fun and sociable place to meet with other children who have Downs Syndrome and to create a “family” for the future where parents could support each other due to the lack of support locally for our children.

Bags of LoveBags full of love is an organisation based in West Dunbartonshire that aims to give every child entering foster care a new backpack filled with new comfort and personal care items. When children are removed from their home most of them will either have the clothes they stand in or a carrier/bin bag of their belongings, we are trying to break this practice. Since many of the children entering the care system have been neglected or abused, we will try to give them a sense of self-respect by providing brand new items which they can call their own. The grant would enable us to purchase more clothing to enable us to give the children coming in to foster care a full outfit along with pyjamas and toiletries.

Community Rescue ServiceThe Community Rescue Service (CRS), a volunteer search and rescue service that operates throughout Northern Ireland, received the impressive top £10,000 grant to help them continue to provide their search and rescue services for high-risk, vulnerable and missing members of the community, including dementia patients, children and people in crisis.
