Based in Swanswea, Vivid Tech was awarded a grant of £10,000 through this year’s Community Cashback Grant Scheme. Born as a dedicated social initiative of VividBlock - to formalise and expand the community impact work they’ve done for years. They provide free and low-cost IT support, digital skills training, refurbished devices, and tech advice to individuals and grassroots groups across their community. Though newly established, their work builds on years of informal support delivered through their main IT business, VividBlock, helping over 300 people since before the pandemic.
The funding will support IT equipment, community printing access, accessibility tools, training materials, and part-time facilitation. It will also enable tailored digital skills sessions for young people, older adults, and jobseekers, along with outreach to ensure these services reach the people who need them most.

North Northants Sports & Welfare Club were awarded £2,730. Their aim is to bring community events to the local area with their core focus on working with disadvantaged groups. The grant will be put towards a free workshop for women’s self-defence and fitness course in the area. This will be a free 3-month workshop in coaching ways to become safer, increase confidence levels and improve mental health.

The 1st Fressingfield Scout Group were awarded £4,000. Based in rural Suffolk they have 160 members from Fressingfield and many surrounding villages and provide a safe place for young people to develop good behaviours, learn skills for the future and have fun through a variety of weekly activities. The grant will be spent on their Going Green project to install a combined solar panel and battery storage system at their Scout Headquarters. The system should produce enough electricity for our own needs and allow us to export excess power to the grid for use in the local community.

Sense are a disability charity based in North Wales who support children and adults who are deaf, blind or have complex disabilities. Their Denbigh hub is one of over twenty day services located across the UK. In 2024, they supported over 32,000 people and their families across their services.
Owain Rees from Sense Hub Denbigh said:
“We are so grateful to SPAR Community for deciding to support our services in Denbigh. The hub is currently supporting a number of children and young adults on a weekly basis and the impact on the staff, the people we support, and their families will be so significant.”
The grant will be used to support alterations in the garden space. The hub is blessed with a lovely space, but unfortunately it currently has no shade or cover and can become unsafe during periods of hot weather. The team at Sense Hub hope to secure a permanent shelter which allows our disabled people to use the space whatever the weather.

The Moorland Community Project
The Moorland Community Project were awarded £6,500. Based in Lincoln, they provide support to the community and voluntary sector. One of their projects is working on a transformative initiative at the Moorland Community Centre and is driven by a passionate team working to empower the Moorland community and turn the Centre into a hub of wellbeing and development. Led by two project officers, alongside a stakeholder group and resident panel, the project emphasises collaboration and creativity. Much of the activity revolves around arts and crafts, providing engaging ways to bring people together. Their community is in one of the 10% most deprived wards in England and thus costs to participate would restrict attendance, so all their activities are put on free of charge, or with a nominal fee. The grant will fund a series of community cultural workshops, cooking sessions and creative craft activities, delivered by local artists and organisations. It will support the workshop facilitators, materials and room hire.
Community In Good Hands CIC
