SPAR Scotland has announced a record year of charitable giving, donating an incredible £200,000 in 2025 to support good causes across the country.
The total surpasses the £180,000 donated in 2024, marking another strong year of community commitment from the leading symbol group, operated by CJ Lang & Son Ltd.
SPAR Scotland has continued its support for Marie Curie, SPAR’s national charity partner, while also donating to hundreds of local causes across the country – from primary schools, care homes and football clubs to defibrillator units, foodbanks, community councils, theatre groups, pantomimes, and hospitals.
Colin McLean, CEO of SPAR Scotland, said:
Funds are raised through a combination of in-store collections and local fundraising events, all backed by the enthusiasm and generosity of SPAR Scotland’s colleagues, retailers, and customers.
McLean added: “Whether it’s through our national partnership with Marie Curie or the countless local initiatives supported by our stores, we are delighted to make a real difference where it matters most, in the heart of our communities.”
