Vegan Wines
We are proud to announce that we are the first grocer to have an all vegan friendly own label wine range. Philippa Carr, Master of Wine at SPAR says 'At SPAR we have sold vegan-friendly wines for some time, and we’re seeing more and more producers taking note of the changing consumer trends.' If you are looking to try a vegan wine - look for any of our own label wines in store, (2021 vintage).
Cooperatives
91% of SPAR Own Label wine producers are family-owned or grower cooperatives sharing the same core values as SPAR, and are committed to: serving the community, providing local employment and offering great quality and value for money products.
Sustainability
We have started our venture into Fairtrade within our regional selection range. The range consists of 10 whites, 14 reds and one rosé from seven different countries, the perfect range for dinner party drinking and confident gifting. In addition to this, our Bordeaux supplier has been awarded the no.1 vineyard in Bordeaux for sustainable practice.
Recycling
All of our packaging for wine follows the OPRL guidelines for easy simple recycling guidelines for consumers.
