After running their family business in Wellbank for several years, independent retailers Mariam and Samar Hayat have made the important decision to join SPAR Scotland and their network of over 300 stores throughout the country.
At 1200 sq. ft, the store is located at 2 Mattocks Road, Wellbank, Dundee. The family owners have been running a shop in Wellbank for the last 3 years, but have recently invested heavily to refit their new store which will offer Paypoint and Lotto as well as Food-to-Go options F’Real milkshakes and Tango Ice Blast.
Mariam and Samar said: “We are very much looking forward to opening this new store in the community of Wellbank and surrounding areas.
“We have run the local shop for 3 years but are so excited about the much wider range of products and services the brand new shop will offer, and the fantastic range and promotions from SPAR.”
SPAR Wellbank is located close to the warehouse and distribution centre for Dundee based CJ Lang & Son Ltd, the wholesaler for SPAR Scotland. Founded in 1919, the company now has 300 stores across the country, an onsite distribution centre with a fleet of 55 vehicles and employs around 1,800 people.
