CJ Lang & Son Ltd, the wholesaler for SPAR in Scotland has announced the rollout of the Barista Bar loyalty app across its store network from May, marking a significant step in enhancing its food-to-go and digital engagement strategy.
The My Barista Bar Rewards+ app, developed to reward regular coffee customers, will be introduced in participating SPAR Scotland stores, giving shoppers a new way to earn rewards, access exclusive offers, and enjoy a more personalised in-store experience.
The app enables customers to collect digital stamps with every purchase, with nine stamps earning a free drink, alongside additional incentives such as birthday rewards and double stamps for using reusable cups. Users can also accumulate points through the Rewards+ programme, redeemable for merchandise and special offers.
Already in use across Barista Bar locations in Northern Ireland, the app has been designed to increase customer engagement and drive repeat visits, aligning with SPAR Scotland’s wider investment in digital innovation and shopper loyalty initiatives.
The rollout forms part of SPAR Scotland’s broader strategy to enhance its in-store experience and leverage digital tools to boost footfall and customer retention. The business has been expanding its Barista Bar coffee offering across its estate, as well as introducing new digital activations and loyalty-driven campaigns to strengthen shopper engagement.

The app will be available to download on iOS and Android devices, with customers able to register and begin earning rewards immediately at participating locations from Monday 18th May onwards.
