How utility payments work at SPAR
Utility payments at SPAR are processed via the PayPoint terminal, available at participating stores. The process varies slightly depending on how you manage your energy account:
Prepayment meter top-ups
If you have a prepayment gas or electricity meter, simply bring your top-up key or smart meter card to your nearest participating SPAR store. Hand it to the cashier along with the amount you'd like to add, and the credit will be applied immediately. Payment is instant – your meter will be updated as soon as you get home and insert the key or card.
Utility bill payments
If you receive a monthly or quarterly utility bill and prefer to pay in person rather than online, you can do so at participating SPAR stores via PayPoint.
