At the awards ceremony, held last night 19 February 2026, and attended by leading figures from across Scotland’s wholesale and convenience sector, CJ Lang & Son colleagues were recognised across several key categories:
- Joint winner – Wholesale Driver of the Year: Wendy Blain
- Winner – Best Delivered Operation (Retail)
- Runner Up – Best Symbol Group (following three consecutive wins in the category)
- Highly Commended – Best Innovation
The achievements highlight excellence across the business, from frontline delivery and operational performance to strategic innovation and symbol group development.
Wendy Blain’s joint win in the Wholesale Driver of the Year category recognises the vital role drivers play in supporting independent retailers across Scotland, ensuring consistent service, reliability, and strong customer relationships.
Meanwhile, the Best Delivered Operation (Retail) award reflects the continued investment in systems, processes, and people to deliver improved service levels and operational efficiency.
Although narrowly missing out on a fourth consecutive win in the Best Symbol Group category, CJ Lang & Son’s runner-up position reinforces the strength of its retail offer and ongoing commitment to supporting independent retailers in an increasingly competitive marketplace. The Highly Commended recognition in the Best Innovation category further demonstrates the business’s focus on evolving its proposition and embracing new ideas to drive long-term growth.
