SPAR Scotland donates £1000 to help Marie Curie in Edinburgh
The Marie Curie hospice in Edinburgh recently suffered severe damage to their site due to a major flooding incident. As our national charity partner, SPAR Scotland clearly wanted to help with a donation. Our £1,000 will go towards replacing lost and damaged furniture within the hospice.

SPAR partner with Too Good To Go
James Hall & Co., SPAR wholesaler for the north of England, has launched a new partnership with Too Good To Go. The initiative allows customers to access ‘magic bags’ of surplus stock at a bargain price and will be trialled across Lancashire and Merseyside, in 10 company owned stores.

SPAR stores in Lancashire support #noexcuseforabuse
James Hall & Co. and Lancashire SPAR stores are proudly supporting a new campaign by Lancashire Constabulary and the Lancashire Resilience Forum. The campaign is called #noexcuseforabuse and is designed to raise awareness of domestic abuse and signpost potential victims to the right support, through the Lancashire Victim Services.

Independent SPAR retailer donates £75K to local charities
An independent SPAR retailer in the Lancashire area has given three local charities a boost by donating £75,000. Lawrence Hunt & Co Ltd is a Lancashire based family business operating 26 SPAR stores and has donated £25,000 to Cash for Kids, St Catherine’s Hospice and St John’s Hospice, after seeing how they have suffered a loss of fundraising income following the Covid-19 pandemic.
