Orange & Basil Cooler
When the sun is high and the heat is on, there’s nothing quite like an ice-cold glass of something fresh. Made with a few simple ingredients, this bright and citrusy summer drink mixes freshly squeezed oranges with basil, and sparkling water.

What you'll need:
- 2 oranges, juiced (about 1 cup of fresh juice)
- 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 120ml cold water
- 4-5 fresh basil leaves, plus extra for garnish
- 150ml sparkling water (or soda water)
- Ice cubes
- Optional: Lemon or lime slices for extra citrus kick
Method:
- Add the basil leaves and honey in a glass or pitcher
- Press them lightly to release their natural essence
- Add the freshly squeezed orange juice and cold water and stir well
- Fill a glass with ice cubes
- Pour the orange-basil mixture over the ice
- Top with sparkling water, giving it a gentle stir
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a slice of lemon or lime
