Why not adapt this simple overnight oat recipe to mix up your breakfast? Using the base ingredients, adapt to create the perfect flavour combination! From Blueberry Muffin, peanut butter & chocolate chip and banana and walnut, the toppings really are endless! What would you top yours with?
What you'll need
Base ingredients:
50g rolled porridge oats
2tbsp natural yogurt
½ cup of milk or any other milk alternative
Blueberry Muffin
Handful of blueberries mashed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp lemon zest, plus extra for topping
Chocolate Peanut Butter
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp of peanut butter
3 tbsp of cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping:
Peanut Butter
Chocolate chips
Banana & Walnut
1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
¼ pure vanilla extract
Topping:
Banana sliced
Roughly chopped walnuts
Method
Step 1- Add your oats, milk and yogurt into a jar and stir.
Step 2 - Add the extra ingredients required based on which flavour combination you want to use.
Step 3 - Leave in the fridge overnight.
Step 4 – Take out the next day and simply top with your desired toppings - Enjoy!
