How to make Tuna Pasta

Craving a meal that's packed with flavour, budget-friendly, and loved by the whole family? Look no further than our mouthwatering Tuna Pasta recipe! 🤤👪

What you'll need:

  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 20ml olive oil
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 280g dried pasta
  • 1 tin tuna
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp dried oregano

Method:

  • Fry the onion in the olive oil in a frying pan on a low to medium heat for 20 minutes so that they are a light caramel colour.
  • Add in the garlic and oregano and stir, making sure it doesn’t burn.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes, seasoning, sugar and balsamic vinegar and allow to simmer on a low heat for a further 20 minutes. Be careful to make sure your sauce doesn’t boil.
  • Meanwhile cook pasta according to the pack instructions.
  • When the pasta is almost ready, flake the tuna into the tomato sauce and allow it to warm through gently.
  • Combine the pasta with the sauce and serve.

Top tip: Cook an extra portion to use for your lunch the following day, or batch cook the tomato sauce and freeze ready for another time.
