Cinnamon Roll Cake

Why settle for ordinary when you can enjoy this tasty sweet treat that promises to start your day on a high note? Whether you're hosting brunch or simply treating yourself, this cinnamon roll cake is sure to become a staple in your breakfast repertoire. 🥣

What you'll need:

For the Cake:

  • 67 g granulated sugar
  • 60 g butter, melted
  • 180 g all-purpose flour blend
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 180 ml milk

 

For The Cinnamon Swirl:

  • 60 g butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 30 g brown sugar

 

For The Cinnamon Glaze:

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 120 g powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Method:

  1. Grease a cake pan and keep it aside.
  2. Mix together 2 teaspoons baking powder, flour, granulated sugar and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a bowl.
  3. Stir in remaining cake ingredients until well combined. Pour batter into the greased cake pan.
  4. For The Cinnamon Swirl: Mix all three ingredients for cinnamon swirl in a small bowl and spoon over cake, swirling it into the batter by using a butter knife.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C, for about 26 to 28 minutes.
  6. Once done, take it out and allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  7. For The Cinnamon Glaze: Mix together all the glaze ingredients in a small bowl and drizzle over the cake.

Notes: you can substitute cake recipe with vanilla or even chocolate cake mix (store bought). Homemade option would be healthier. This recipe can be served for breakfast as well as a dessert course.
