How to make Mediterranean tuna pasta bake
Tuna pasta bake is a recipe everyone needs to know! With our twist on this classic yet simple recipe, it'll be one of your new go-to dishes. Make sure to save the leftovers for lunch!
What you'll need:
- 300g fusilli
- 800g chopped tomatoes
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 50g black olives, sliced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 3 tins of tuna
- 100g grated cheddar
- 100g grated mozzarella
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180°
- Bring a saucepan of lightly salted water to the boil. Cook the pasta for a couple of minutes less than the packet suggests (around 10 minutes) and drain.
- Add the cooked pasta to an ovenproof dish, followed by the tuna, tomatoes, onion, olives and lemon zest, and season to taste.
- Then, add half of the cheddar and half of the mozzarella and stir thoroughly.
- Top with the remaining cheese to achieve a crisp topping and bake in the oven for around 15 minutes – or until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
- Time to serve! This dish is delicious with a side salad or a serving of warm garlic bread.
