Not a culinary expert? Overnight oats are an easy Mother’s Day breakfast idea and a guaranteed winner. Mum will undoubtedly enjoy a simple but delicious bowl of oatmeal with fruit – overnight oats are also super quick to make, and they do say that the simple things can often be the best! Prepare them the night before to make sure they’re ready for a Mother’s Day breakfast in bed treat.

To make this healthy Mother’s Day breakfast, pop some oats and yoghurt into a glass container or bowl, and add a little fruit for extra flavour. Put it in the fridge overnight and voilà she’ll have her healthy Mother’s Day breakfast ready-made for whenever she fancies it in the morning. Brownie points to you for being super organised!

Top Tip: When taking the overnight oats out of the fridge in the morning, if you find the mixture has gone a little hard, just add a dash of milk and give it another mix before serving to Mum.

A dash of milk will fix it, then drizzle your maple syrup and you’ll have a yummy Mother’s Day breakfast ready to go.

Want to go the extra mile to really make the perfect Mother’s Day food? Have a go at making some indulgent cinnamon French toast it’ll be ready to devour in less than 15 minutes! For this cinnamon French toast recipe, all you’ll need is: a few eggs, 1/3 of a cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, ½ a teaspoon of vanilla, four slices of bread and a dash of cinnamon. Squirt some cooking spray onto your grill and preheat for roughly five minutes. Mix your eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and then drench the bread in your mixture.
