There are plenty of easy and delicious dishes to choose from that say Happy Mother’s Day! Here’s some food for thought when it comes to cooking up the perfect Mother’s Day breakfast…

Easy Mother’s Day breakfast - Overnight oats, banana and raspberries

Overnight Oats

Not a culinary expert? Overnight oats are an easy Mother’s Day breakfast and a guaranteed winner. Mum will undoubtedly enjoy a simple but delicious bowl of oatmeal with fruit – overnight oats are super quick to make, and they do say that the simple things can often be the best! Prepare them the night before to make sure they’re ready for Mother’s Day.


To make this healthy Mother’s Day breakfast, pop some oats and yoghurt into a glass container or bowl, and add a little fruit for extra flavour. Put it in the fridge overnight and voilà- she’ll have her healthy Mother’s Day breakfast ready-made for whenever she fancies it in the morning. Brownie points to you for being super organised!


Top Tip: When taking the overnight oats out of the fridge in the morning, if you find the mixture has gone a little hard, just add a dash of milk and give it another mix before serving to Mum.

Fancying something equally healthy for Mum on her special day without the fruit? Live on the edge and opt for something a little sweeter. She’ll love starting her day by indulging in super tasty maple syrup granola, before she starts to relax… So why not try making this simple, worthy-of-Instagram breakfast this Mother’s Day?

To make this Mother’s Day breakfast, the clue is in the title. Just pour some granola into your bowl and spoon in some yoghurt – natural, Greek or low-fat will work fine. Poured too much in? A dash of milk will fix it, then drizzle your maple syrup and you’ll have a yummy Mother’s Day breakfast ready to go.

Cinnamon French Toast

Want to go the extra mile to really make the perfect Mother’s Day breakfast? Have a go at making some indulgent cinnamon French toast.  It’ll be ready to devour in less than 15 minutes! For this cinnamon French toast recipe, all you’ll need is: a few eggs, 1/3 of a cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, ½ a teaspoon of vanilla, 4 slices of bread and a dash of cinnamon. Squirt some cooking spray onto your grill and preheat for roughly 5 minutes. Mix your eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and then drench the bread in your mixture.

Cook under the grill for roughly 4 minutes, until it’s ready. Drizzle some cinnamon, and ta da! Your cinnamon French toast is ready to serve as the perfect Mother’s Day breakfast. Check out our gluten-free recipe here!
