Nuts are full of protein, fibre and unsaturated fats – and because they are full of calories, too, they are an ideal snack to keep you going for longer. Brazil nuts are especially high in calories, which is great when you need the energy to power through a strenuous hike. Pack a bag of Brazil nuts or mixed nuts into your rucksack before heading off into the great outdoors for a quick energy boost full for nutrients and antioxidants.
