Apple crumble ingredients

Before you make our apple crumble recipe with oats, you’ll need to pick up these ingredients:

  • 6 golden delicious apples
  • 3 & ½ tsps of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 tbsps of honey
  • 90g of plain flour
  • 200g of light brown sugar
  • 68g of rolled oats
  • 115g of rolled butter
  • A pinch of salt

Method

To make our easy apple crumble recipe, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Prepare the filling. Peel and chop the apples and place them in a large bowl. Then mix in 2 and ½ tsps of cinnamon, 1 tsp of ground cloves and all the honey until all the apples are covered. Once finished, preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. Prepare the topping. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, light brown sugar, 1 tsp of ground cinnamon, 1 tsp of ground cloves and a pinch of salt. Once done, chop the butter into cubes. Next, add the oats and the butter, then use your fingers to break up the lumps and mix the ingredients together.
  3. Prepare the crumble. In an oven proof dish, place the apples so that there are no gaps. Then cover the apples with all the topping and bake in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Now your apple crumble has been cooked, it’s time to serve with custard or fresh cream for a delicious treat! Friends staying over for dinner too? Before you make our crumble, impress your guests with our Mango and Coconut Chicken Fajitas.
