Every one of us in the UK will be affected at some point by loss or bereavement. In fact, one in four people don’t get the right care and support they need at the end of their lives.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Marie Curie, to help them raise funds so their nurses can be there for families when they need them most, whilst ensuring our communities have someone to turn to when coping with grief.
Marie Curie cares for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. They offer expert care and support at home, or in one of their hospices, while their Support Line provides additional care for anyone experiencing loss.
SPAR UK is particularly proud of supporting Marie Curie frontline staff throughout the Coronavirus crisis. Their hospices and community nurses have experienced unprecedented demand and their services have been stretched, and yet they’ve continued to be their for the people and communities we both connect with. We’re delighted that our partnership has continue to go from strength to strength throughout the outbreak to ensure vital services continue to be supported.
“Terminal illness impacts not only the person who is ill but also their friends and loved ones. We are supporting Marie Curie because we know the difference they make to families across the UK, and also the wider community – they help many people through what can be the most difficult time in their life.”
